From Luke Jones
"Salt air never takes a day off. It works on your cables, your motor, and your wiring every single day. A lift that isn't maintained is a lift that's quietly failing. My job is to catch it before it costs you."
Luke Jones, Owner of Shoreline Marine Services
The SMS service standard

Most lift failures start the same three ways

A cable that was "probably fine" last season. A motor that got louder and got ignored. Grease fittings that haven't seen grease since the lift was installed.

None of those are dramatic until the day your boat is hanging on them. Our standard is simple: inspect everything, lubricate everything, and tell you the truth about what needs replacing and what doesn't.

Full-lift inspection, every visit

Cables, motor, electrical, pilings, and safety systems are checked off a real list, not eyeballed.

Straight answers

If it can wait a season, we say so. If it can't, we tell you why, with the worn part in hand.

The owner does the work

When you call SMS you talk to Luke, the same person who shows up at your dock.

FAQ

Questions lift owners
ask first

What do you repair and install?
Auto stops, cables, motors, lift adjustments, lift remotes, walkboards (with or without steps), and bunks, plus most anything else on a boat lift. If your problem isn't listed, call us; we've probably fixed it before.
Do you have a maintenance plan? What does it cost?
Yes, there are two options. A single annual service visit is $275. Full Membership is $500 a year and includes two visits (Spring and Fall), 10-15% off eligible parts and labor on repairs, and priority scheduling. Every visit on both plans covers lubrication, cable and motor inspection, electrical checks, pile inspection, and a full operational and safety assessment.
Do you have a shop, or do you come to me?
We come to you. Shoreline Marine Services is a mobile business, so all repairs and maintenance happen at your dock across Wilmington and the surrounding waterways. There is no shop to drop off at, and no lift to haul anywhere. Call (910) 200-7615 and we schedule a visit to your location.
What areas do you serve?
Wilmington, NC and the surrounding waterways, including Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Hampstead. On the water nearby but not listed? Call us. We probably come to you.
How do I get a fast quote?
Call (910) 200-7615, or send a photo of the problem to shorelinelift@gmail.com or by Instagram DM. A picture of the cable, motor, or control box tells us most of what we need, so the first visit is the fix, not just the diagnosis.
My lift is stuck with the boat on it. What do I do?
Stop running the motor. Forcing a stuck lift is how a small problem becomes a snapped cable. Leave everything where it is and call us at (910) 200-7615. Members get priority scheduling for exactly this situation.
Why service a lift twice a year?
Spring gets the lift ready for the season you'll actually use it. Fall inspects and secures it before storm season. Salt air works on cables, motors, and wiring year-round, and twice-a-year service is how small wear gets caught before it becomes a failure.
